Beware

When I was about 9 or 10, my grandmother told me this for the first time: “Everyone who smiles in your face isn’t your friend.” Right before I left for college, she told me this again.

I’m ashamed to admit how many times I’ve forgotten this lesson.

Well, I was reminded of it again today. Let’s just say be very careful who you trust because trusting someone you shouldn’t could really blow up in your face. Also, don’t trust people who want you to answer all of their questions but won’t answer any of yours.

Finally, if someone has the power to hurt you, e.g. cost you your job, fuck with your money, make trouble for you in your household, think long and hard before you confide in her/them/him.
