My uncle has passed away from COVID-19. I guess I was naive to think that a virus that has ravaged so many Black and Brown families wouldn’t touch mine.

If there is any way you can stay home other than to get necessities, PLEASE do. If you can’t, please take EVERY precaution to protect yourself, including double-masking, particularly if you’re Black or Brown. The. Pandemic. Is. Not. Over.

Rest in Power, Uncle Rick. I hope you’ve found peace now. You’re with Mom-Mom again and I know that makes you so happy. Tell her hi for me. I love you.
